The Soviet Union / 1988
I traveled to the Soviet Union in the spring of 1988, when I was a junior at Trinity College. The trip was led by Dr. Samuel D. Kassow, a well known historian of Ashkenazi Jewry and Russian history. We traveled to Leningrad, Moscow, Tbilisi (Georgia), and Vilnius (Lithuania). It was one of the most memorable trips I've ever taken, rich with history and full of photographic opportunity.
